The Film Fund Talk seeks to give practical information to listeners who wish to get financing and support for their productions. Representatives of major film funds will participate as panelists and introduce their fund initiatives to emerging filmmakers. During this talk, the participants could get information on how to apply for each fund and the range of support each fund can provide.

Daniel Mattes is an American-born producer based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he is a partner at the production company Anti-Archive. He has produced features, documentaries, and shorts, including: Doi Boy (Nontawat Numbenchapol, 2023), Further and Further Away (Polen Ly, short, 2022), White Building (Kavich Neang, 2021), Sunrise in My Mind (Danech San, short, 2020), and Last Night I Saw You Smiling (Kavich Neang, 2019).
- Fund Programs
Asian Cinema Fund (ACF) is a funding initiative to support Asian independent filmmakers in making feature-length fiction films and documentaries. By supporting Asian film projects in their script development, production, and post-production stages, ACF strives to activate independent film productions in Asia and to provide a stable production environment for talented Asian independent filmmakers.
A selective co-production incentive capped at PHP 10Mn per project (with guaranteed bonus for selected ASEAN co-productions) and offers up to PHP 2Mn additional incentive for passing the cultural test.
- Film Location Incentive Program (FLIP)A selective 20% cash rebate (capped at PHP 25Mn) with additional 5% cultural bonus, granted to qualified international projects that will execute line-production, animation, or post-production in the Philippines.
Film Location Engagement Desk (FLEX)
Inter-agency endorsement for:
- Government permits
- Locations
- Production logistics
- Distribution
- Technical suppliers and crew
- Line and post-production studios
The grants under IMDA’s Media Talent Progression Program support projects that allow local media professionals in Singapore to build up their portfolio and experience, and become globally-demanded.
Such projects include long-form content (features/episodic series) for a) co-productions between regional and Singaporean co-producers; and b) projects intended for a global scale/audience.
Purin Pictures is a non-profit foundation that supports independent cinema in Southeast Asia. Started in 2017, we look for artists and organizations that are doing unique and essential work in a region that lacks adequate governmental support. Our funding programs cover film production, post-production, and film-related activities.
TAICCA as your international co-funding and co-production partner, supports up to 30% of total budget with max. USD$300,000.
