Kim Hyo-jeong worked in the Park Chulsoo Films from 1998 to 2000, and has been working as a producer in the Film Line since 2000. Following the production of the Korean-Japanese co-production film Driving With My Wife's Lover (2006) and Tokyo Taxi (2010), she has been producing the several Korean-Southeast Asian co-production films such as the Malaysian first Korean-location film Aku Ada Kau Ada (2011), the first Filipino million-viewer film Kimmy Dora 2 (2012), as well as You With Me (2017), Shun Pong O (2018), Indak (2019) and Cinta Itu Buta (2019). The Korean-Filipino co-production film Sunshine Family (2019) won the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT Award for Best Feature Film, the Filipino FDCP Film Ambassador Award, and winning the Producer of the Year Award by the Asian Film Commissions Network(AFCNet). She recently has been an active producer for the Korean-Malaysian-Indonesian co-production film Look At Me Touch Me Kiss Me (2022), the Filipino films Yung Libro Sa Napanood Ko (2023), Seoulmeyt (2024), and the Indonesian film Laut Tengah (2024).
Joonhan Lee is a Seoul-based filmmaker and the founder of The Whale Company, a production house dedicated to creating high-quality Korean content for global audiences.
Lee began his career in the TV commercial industry after earning a degree in photography from Chung-Ang University. After several years as a commercial producer in Seoul, he moved to New York to study cinema, where he earned an MFA in film producing from Columbia University. He produced the short film The Strange Ones, directed by Lauren Wolkstein and Christopher Radcliff, which was featured at prestigious film festivals, including Sundance and SXSW. Lee also served as Consulting Producer on the feature-length adaptation of The Strange Ones, which screened at SXSW and the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2017. Lee was the producer of The Horizon, a critically acclaimed feature-length interactive 360 VR film directed by Minji Kang, which premiered at the 2022 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. He co-produced Ajoomma, directed by He Shuming and produced by Anthony Chen. Ajoomma premiered at the 2022 Busan International Film Festival and received three nominations at the 2022 Golden Horse Awards.
Most recently, Lee produced the feature film Deadline, which is set to premiere as a special screening at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival. He is currently producing the OTT series Angels Camp, which is in post-production.
